Posted by Apocoplay LLC ♥ Like You’ve all once again come through in a big way! 50% funded in 13 hours! Now that, my friends, is how you Kickstart.
A great day full of highs and more highs. I got to talk to a number of returning backers, of course. But I also got to talk to a number of new backers too, and that’s great news for our inevitable charge toward stretch goals in the upcoming weeks!
Our huge momentum has made us pretty prominent on the “Popular” section of Kickstarter all day, and got us some press attention. Mostly our press focus is on tomorrow and Friday, as we were trying to avoid the situation we had last time, where our Kotaku article went up before launch, so they opted to omit a link.
In addition, I’ve been scheduled to sit for a number of interviews over the next few days, and our press list for the upcoming playable demo is growing, so overall not bad.
So what’s next? Well, first of all only 30% of our backers have rejoined us, so there’s still a lot of work to be done! If you happen to know anyone who backed last time, feel free to give them a friendly reminder! And stretch goals! We’ll be announcing the first two tomorrow!
Stay tuned everyone, the fun is just beginning! And thank you for everything!
Well, the halloween avatars are up — and FREE for the next two days. We also have seasonal packs and lotto up! However, JP was not able to get me the art for Etoile in time, so the Halloween packs are on hold! I’ll keep them up extra long to make up for it.
Halloween is here!
With the various things we’ve been up to preparing for the next Kickstarter and meetings with potential publishers and the like, there hasen’t been much time for us to do events.
But Halloween is special! We can’t miss that for anything!
Here is what we’ve got…
We have preformed a software upgrade on our servers that should solve the recent technical problems we’ve been happening. At some point in the near future we will do a substantial hardware upgrade to start preapring for Horizons.
We appologize for any inconvenience.
The Alteil Horizons Kickstarter will re-launch on October 30th at 10 AM EST – back, as they say, and better than ever.
It is a privilege to be addressing you all once again, and I can’t wait to fill you in on everything that’s happened in these past few weeks. Thanks to the press and materials we generated from the first Kickstarter campaign, we got the attention of a number of publishers and other game companies. In fact we’re in the final stages of a deal to simultaneously develop an alternate version of Alteil using our new battle engine for another country. I can’t say which country at the moment, but I’m sure you all can make an educated guess.
The important part is that this will pay for a chunk of our development, allowing us to lower our goal for the Kickstarter to $40,000. That means this campaign can focus on stretch goals, which are more fun anyway — and we are going to be changing them up a bit based on your feedback. Continue Reading
I’ll issue an official statement and mass mail tomorrow, but due to time lost when myself, GGG and lil’ Bringer were sick last week, we decided to push the Kickstarter re-launch back rather than rush things trying to catch up. Look forward to my announcement tomorrow, there will be some new info!
As everyone knows, we’re gearing up for our Kickstarter re-launch. So, not only have things been a little crazy, but myself, GGG and lil’ Bringer have all been very sick for the past week.
Things seem to be finally clearing up, and I want to tell everyone that things look good for re-launching the Kickstarter in one week, on the 23rd. A lot of you have been asking about the status of your Early Birds from the last Kickstarter, and if you’ll be able to keep them.
Kickstarter Re-launch Announcement
It’s hard to believe it’s almost been a month! It’s been an exciting time, with a lot of key face time with our backers, important feedback, and great ideas coming in from all directions. The Alteil Horizons Kickstarter changed a lot over the past 27 days, with the strategy videos, the updates, and the additional guest artists. Then, last week things got really crazy.
A lot of the press we had been pushing for finally started to answer our calls. A big interview I had sat for weeks ago that had been stuck in red tape finally started moving down the pipe. We made some great arrangement for really big articles. We started wrapping on the playable demo, and made arrangements to show it off to a number of outlets who were interested in covering us. Best of all, we had a few breakthroughs in our quest for mutually beneficial partnerships, one of which we knew could carry the Kickstarter all by itself.
There was just one catch…
Here are the rankings for last week’s battles. Please take a look.
